Customer Reviews:

1. I already own two Harry Potter book sets but had to buy all of the houses in honour of celebrating 20 years of Harry Potter. Just beautiful covers.

2. Fantastic anniversary special edition. I love that the book has been released in four versions for each of the four houses and that they are also in house colours. The extra information at the front with information about the founders of each house and other information. I love it! Bought all four versions!

3. I read this for 2017 Popsugar Reading Challenge. The category is ‘a book that you’ve read before that never fails to make you smile’.

I’ve read Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone at least ten times. This is my first time reading the illustrated edition. A word about the illustration edition; the illustrations are lush and gorgeous, and bring Harry’s first adventure to life. This book was a pleasure to read. As for the book itself, I am an uber-fan of Harry Potter. I’ve read the books at least ten times each and seen the DVD’s as many times. The Philosopher’s Stone has a special place in my heart as it was the first time Harry, Ron and Hermione have an adventure. I love this book. It’s easily at the top of my list of all-time favourites. There are so many moments that I love in this book; Harry finding out about Hogwarts, the midnight duel with Malfoy, Hagrid’s dragon, the trip to the Forbidden Forrest, solving the puzzles to reach the stone and a million other things. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is easily one of the best books ever written.

4. As most reviewers here, I am a long-time fan of the Harry Potter series. I bought the hard back edition and it is wonderful! Beautiful design, with a few added extras from the original, e.g.: a portrait of Rowena and additional facts. The only niggle I have is that the dust cover was slightly bent over, and the 20th anniversary sticker was scratched. Apart from that, ace!

5. Absolutely stunning and enchanting book. The illustrations are magical and i think I, as a twenty two year old harry potter enthusiast, enjoyed them fully as much as the seven year old it was intended for! It is a lovely way to introduce Harry to a little one as the pictures add an extra magical element and interest. It is also great for adult fans too though, because it isn't overly childish. The book itself is very large, with lovely glossy pages and a hardbacked cover. It's still in perfect condition one year on so is not at all flimsy. The second book is also stunning with a darker tone to the illustrations, inkeeping with the more serious themes. Would highly recommend to all ages as a new fresh way of enjoying the Potter world.

6. Lovely book well worth buying even if you have a normal book type copy. The book is quite beautifully done a delight for children and adults. The pictures really bring it to life

7. It's Harry potter, what's not to love! Loved all the books and really liked the idea of them being in the house colours so brought both mine and my mum's (Gryffindor and ravenclaw). Lovely edition to add to our collection
